Noosaville fits the bill if you're looking for somewhere to live that's not too far from the buzz of Hastings St, but at the same time still has the option for peace and quiet and has a character of its own. It has been interesting to also see the shift of holiday makers as well from the Hastings Street area, where it is so busy, to the charming park running virtually the entire length of Gympie Terrace riverfront offering a really relaxed swimming and casual dining environment. Some of the Noosaville restaurants now vie for the accolades once exclusively held in Noosa Heads.
With a varied built environment, from where Noosa Waters canal estate boasts multi-million dollar homes, to the streets behind Gympie Terrace where the few remaining shacks are being replaced by luxurious duplexes, there is something for everyone. A large suburb, it sprawls over a massive 26 sq km, and boasts a variety of housing areas - the newest land subdivisions are all here - Beckmans, Doonella, Bushlands, North Rise - and they all sold quickly underlining the strong demand for new housing. These are behind Noosa Waters, and the suburb spills out towards the countryside and the Par 3 golf course. A very varied area is Noosaville. In direct contrast to Sunrise Beach where most of the residents are young families, here the 55-64 empty nesters dominate, although the newer areas have the families and the older generation congregate behind Gympie Terrace in the Ann/Elizabeth/James and Edward streets precinct.
Noosa Civic dominates the shopping situation, located conveniently just off the main arterial bypass, Eenie Creek Road, with Woolworths full service supermarket, Big W, and a variety of small retailers in all disciplines and several nationals, like BCF, Supa Cheap Auto, Pillow Talk etc.
